How the five steps of the survey work
- First, S3 employees go out into the entire area and mark all measuring points, which are recorded with GPS.
- Then geophones are placed in the landscape. This is done on foot.
- Once the geophones are laid out, the vibration lorries set off on separate routes and vibrate at the planned points.
- Geophones and other material are then collected on foot.
- The final phase takes place at the computer, where all the data is processed. This takes several months.
Survey stages: East before Christmas – West after Christmas
The first stage of the survey – in the eastern half of the Greenstore area – begins at the end of October and is completed before the Christmas holidays. The second stage – the western half of the area – will start in January and is expected to be completed before the school winter holidays.
Thank you for your support and consent
Project Greenstore has been in close dialogue with landowners in the area in recent months, and we would like to thank the many landowners who have given their consent for us to access their land in connection with the survey. The good and constructive dialogue has been crucial for us to be able to adapt the work to local conditions, carry out the survey as quickly and safely and with as little inconvenience as possible.
See you in Arena Randers
Project Greenstore will be present with a small stand at the lifestyle fair in Randers on 11 and 12 October, where anyone interested can learn more about the project. We also encourage local residents to follow the development of the seismic survey on our website www.greenstore.dk and subscribe to our newsletter, where more information about various events and activities will soon be available.
