Employees from Harbour Energy, Ramboll and surveyors LE34 were on hand with access to an online mapping system so we could show each landowner where on their property the geophones (the small receiving units) will be placed and where the vibration trucks will drive. The conversations gave us a lot of knowledge about local conditions that we need to take into account, from chicken coops and horse paddocks, to older houses without foundations and planned hunts.
It was also a good opportunity to have a more general chat about the possibilities of storingCO2 underground in the large area between Randers in the south and Hobro and Mariager in the north.
For Project Greenstore, openness and the involvement of both landowners and the local population is a cornerstone of the project. In the coming months, we will therefore continue with several dialogue initiatives – from large joint meetings and one-on-one meetings with individual landowners to open house events. We will also have a stand at the lifestyle fair in Arena Randers on 11-12 October.
Henrik Busk, Exploration Manager at Harbour Energy and responsible for the seismic survey, is very pleased with the good dialogue and looks forward to continuing it, both about the surveys underground and daily life on top.
